The Commons Woodland Walk is a beautiful walk through a natural woodland along the banks of the River Shannon.

Overview

This is a very accessible and short walking trail. It includes a liner path and two loops (one of 800m and one of 1.2km in length).

It is a great route for families, with a playground nearby in Lanesborough.

The trail passes close to disused lime quarries and wetlands (or lake callows) and into wooded areas around the lake shore.
