Our Distillery

Tucked away in the heart of Ireland, flanking our flagship river, the Shannon, lies a small distillery celebrating a timeless craft. It’s here, amid pure waters and peat bogs, that we handcraft our small-batch Irish spirits. Every drop is born of Irish grain, distilled slowly in copper stills, and matured patiently in the finest casks. We make our whiskey the way things were once done — by hand, by feel, and by heart — creating spirits with real depth, authenticity, and a true sense of place. From the stills of Lough Ree comes spirits for those who seek discovery, integrity, and a taste of Ireland.

The Power of Connection It’s easy to spot when we’re connected to people or places – but not so easy to define the reasons for those connections. At Lough Ree, we think that the first connection that a great whiskey should have is to its own native place. We’re located on the mighty River Shannon at the meeting place of the East & West of Ireland, in the Hidden Heartlands This is not just a geographical coming together, but also a merging of traditional & modern Ireland. A place where we are inspired by tradition but not bound by it. Our sense of connection also comes from the fact that Lough Ree was founded by a family who believe deeply in the power of family, community and the value of enjoying genuine connection.
