The River Camlin (Irish: An Chamlinn - Crooked Pool) is a tributary of the River Shannon. Rising near Granard, it flows through Clonbroney, Ballinalee, and Longford Town along the beautiful Mall, Albert Reynolds Peace Park, before its two branch distributaries enter the Shannon 3.5 kilometres above Cloondara. The Camlin is navigable for part of its course. Its source is situated around the village of Abbeylara.

Popular with anglers, it has good stock of roach, hybrids, bream and tench. Pike can also be caught there although rarely.

The Camlin also is well known with kayaking enthusiasts and has the 10 kilometre Camlin River Loop starting at Richmond Harbour in Cloondara via Tarmonbarry and then back to Cloondara. The loop can be navigated by either canoe or kayak. View the route.
