Points of Interest: Two impressive megalithic tombs or dolmens can be found in Aughnacliffe, one of which is the third biggest of its kind in Ireland. Dolmens were erected by the earliest inhabitants of Ireland who settled here between 4000 and 3000 B.C. and continued to inhabit the land up to 2000 B.C.
Visit the beautiful Pulliness Waterfall which is located nearby and take a leisurely stroll along the walking trail leading to it. If you're feeling peckish after your walk and would fancy some hearty fare whilst in Aughnacliffe, the Glenview Lounge has a tempting array of lunches and dinners to offer.
