Situated in the heart of beautiful Co. Longford in the sleepy village of Taghshinny lies the Glebe House Bed and Breakfast. A beautiful old Georgian rectory built in 1825, the property was once the home to Oscar Wilde's Aunt Emily and her husband Rev William Noble. Steeped in history, this elegant home offers the visitor a wonderful escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life . There are beautiful lawns and nearby walks along the Royal Canal Greenway and National Famine Way to enjoy. Picnics available if you wish to take with you on your day out. The house interior is tastefully furnished with many period pieces throughout and at the same providing the guest with all the modern day comforts one would expect including free Wifi.
In total there are 4 guest rooms, a very spacious dining room and sitting room as well as a games room with full sized snooker table. They offer bed and breakfast accommodation with a full Irish breakfast. The Glebe House Bed and Breakfast is situated close to some of Ireland's best heritage, great fishing loughs and rivers, and close to some great golf courses.
