There is a strong local theatre and culture. Ancient Irish history in the form of dolmens. The local bogland environment has an abundance of flora and fauna. Unique to Co Longford is Corlea visitor centre which has 2000 year old preserved bog road.

Belfast, Dublin and Galway are approx. 2 hours. The cottage makes an ideal central location to base yourself for a holiday.
